We have listed here all our double-sided magnetic products, which can be magnetised on either side. These products include fixing accessories such as studs or double-sided pastilles, which you can use to join 2 ferrous objects together without having to drill or glue.
Double-sided magnetic products are also widely used for temporary displays and events: display magnets can be magnetised to a whiteboard, exhibition grid or any ferrous surface. They flip over to indicate a change of state.
We've developed a whole range of reversible management magnets that we manufacture in our workshop, and that make it possible to manage stocks, teams or projects in a way that's practical and visible to everyone.
Anisotropic magnetic rubber and double-sided magnetisation, it's possible
At magnetiques.fr, we have chosen to use top-of-the-range magnetic rubber that is both thick (from 0.5mm to 2mm!) and anisotropic.
Anisotropic magnetic rubber undergoes an extra step in its manufacturing process to orientate the magnetic field of all the ferrite particles in the same direction.
This manipulation makes the magnetic rubber much more powerful than a conventional isotropic magnet. However, this alignment of the particles only makes one side of the rubber magnetic.
Rather than reducing the quality of our anisotropic products, we decided to have a 2mm-thick magnetic rubber specifically manufactured, in which the ferrite particles were positioned on both sides, but only 1mm thick (half the total thickness).
To ensure that the ferrite particles on one side do not interfere with those on the other, they are positioned in staggered lines, so that a line of ferrite on one side is staggered with the line of ferrite on the opposite side.
As these lines are spaced further apart than on a magnetic rubber with uniface magnetisation of the same thickness, the magnetising power of the rubber will be slightly reduced: approximately 65gr/cm2.
This is still more than enough power for any type of magnetic display, including vehicle magnets.
The case of neodymium magnets
A magnet will magnetise on a ferrous surface with as much intensity from its south pole as from its north pole. Raw magnets, on the other hand, are sensitive to the impact of sliding forces and lose 90% of their magnetising power on a vertical surface.
That's why we use magnetic anti-slip pads on both sides to create a double-sided magnetic attachment. These pads contain powerful neodymium magnets, and are coated with a rough resin that limits the impact of sliding forces.
We also use neodymium magnets to shape our double-sided magnetic pads, and our multi-sided pads: the magnetisation is therefore just as powerful on one side as on the other.
Manufactured in our workshop
All double-sided magnetic products, whether in magnetic rubber or shaped with neodymium magnets, are manufactured in our workshop in the french alps.
We regularly produce new products from prototypes requested by our customers.
We are able to print the files of your choice, either directly onto the magnetic rubber, or onto plastic, aluminium or wooden blocks into which we insert a neodymium magnet.
