Self-adhesive magnet

Self-adhesive magnets are used to make small objects magnetic or to create lightweight closures.

In this category, you'll find strips, sheets, labels and pellets of magnetic rubber on the back of which we've laminated a powerful professional adhesive.

As with our raw magnetic rubber products, you can choose the thickness, and therefore the strength, of the magnet - up to 408gr/cm2 for neodymium magnetic rubber!

Making objects magnetic

Self-adhesive magnets are usually used to make small objects magnetic: photos, bristol labels, notice boards, etc.

Objects that have become magnetic will magnetise on any ferrous surface: steel cladding, whiteboards, metal beams, etc.

For heavier objects, opt for neodymium magnets, for gluing or screwing on, which are much more powerful than magnetic rubber.

Create closures

In this category, we sell ready-to-use magnetic closures, consisting of a self-adhesive magnetic strip 1.5 mm thick and a strip of self-adhesive steel foil to which the magnetic strip is magnetised.

These closures can be used to close cupboard doors, or to secure lightweight objects together.

You can also use 2 self-adhesive magnetic strips to create your own fastening system, which will be almost as strong as a magnetic strip and a strip of steel foil.

Powerful self-adhesive, but take care when applying the adhesive

Our self-adhesive magnetic products use 3M 468 professional adhesive as standard, selected for its adhesive strength and resistance to external conditions (extreme temperatures, humidity).

In theory, this adhesive is stronger than the thickest magnetic rubber.

However, make sure you apply it by pressing evenly on the adhesive surface, and leave it to dry for 24 hours.

As with all adhesives, make sure the surface you want to stick to is smooth and cleaned beforehand, ideally with alcohol and a lint-free cloth.
