At our premises in the french alps, we make magnets in the shape of letters or numbers, either cut from magnetic rubber, printed on a white background, or cut out to be used as a stencil.
The magnetic letters and numbers are cut from magnetised rubber, into which ferrites are extruded and magnetised. The letters can be magnetised on any ferrous surface: whiteboards, fridges, metal shelving and racks, steel cladding, bodywork, etc.
In this category you'll find the letters of the alphabet, in upper case or cursive, as well as the 10 numbers from 0 to 9.
Sizes and typefaces of magnetic letters and numbers
Our magnetic capital letters and numbers are printed in ARIAL typeface. We also make alphabets in cursive letters (CURSIVE STANDARD typography) for children's learning.
We laminate vinyl onto the magnetic rubber to create the coloured magnetic letters and numbers. There are 5 standard colours (black, white, green, red and blue). Choose the characters so that they are as legible as possible against their intended background.
Whether you need a cut-out character, printed on a white background or a stencil, you can choose from 5 character sizes ranging from 5 to 25cm high.
We manufacture these products and can design custom formats, colours and fonts. Ask us for a quote by filling in our contact form.
Fast turnaround and made-to-measure production
As a manufacturer, we can respond quickly to custom orders. We master every stage in the manufacture of letter, number and stencil magnets from A to Z: computer graphics, file preparation, cutting, printing, lamination and protective lamination.
We can design versions of magnetic numbers in other colours on request. We have 25 different coloured vinyls, as well as fluorescent vinyls and even photoluminescent vinyls that light up in the dark.
Choose powerful magnetic rubber
At magnetiques.fr, you won't find any magnets that slip, don't magnetise well or get damaged after a few uses.
The rubber is high quality, tear-proof and has a magnetising power of 65g/cm2, which is more than enough to hold the magnetic letter firmly to its base, whatever the quality and thickness of the base.
Unlike magnets, magnetic rubber has a rough surface with a high friction force that offers good slip resistance. It magnetises firmly to vertical surfaces without slipping.
If you don't have a ferrous base for your magnetic letters and numbers, our site offers a wide choice of mini boards, ferrous sheets or magnet-compatible strips to stick on, screw on or carry around.
Why use magnetic letters and numbers?
Magnetic letters and numbers are widely used in warehouses and shop shelving. Firstly, because it's very easy to attach and move magnets on metal shelves, and secondly, because the magnetic base means that the marking can be moved around, adapting to stock movements.
Magnetic letters and numbers can also be used as teaching aids. When a child is faced with his or her first notions of reading or mathematics, the use of letters and numbers that can be moved around helps to make these notions less abstract. The child can take the number and place it on a board. And they can do this as many times as they like.
Holding the letters in their hands makes the process more concrete for them, because they accompany their mental effort with gestures and attitudes that anchor the brain's effort in reality.
Magnetic characters are easy to install and move around, which is why they are also widely used for temporary signage and events.
Having alphabet magnets is also great fun in a dining room or kitchen. Everyone can leave a note or message for the next person on a fridge or whiteboard.
