Looking to create a magnetic fastening system that you can screw to a wall or object? In this category you'll find all our magnets with bevelled holes, tapped holes or threaded shanks.
Screw-in neodymium magnets are extremely powerful, top-of-the-range professional magnets that can be used in all kinds of sectors such as landscaping, construction, DIY, transport, etc.
We are specialized in extremely powerful technical neodymium magnets:
You have the choice between several types of magnets, of different sizes, and with threads or threads ranging from M3 to M8.
The different types of screw-on magnet
Screw-on magnets are useful for creating magnetic closures, such as wardrobe door closures or wooden box closures.
You'll find different types of neodymium magnet in this category, depending on the type of fastener you need:
- Round or rectangular bevelled magnets have a hole in the centre through which a screw can be passed. The hole is bevelled, which means that it is flared so that the screw head does not protrude from the magnet.
- Magnets with tapped holes. These are round magnets with holes in a steel shell. Unlike bevel-hole magnets, these are tapped: the hole in the centre of the magnet has a screw thread. You can screw a screw or threaded rod directly into the magnet.
- Magnets with a threaded rod. These magnets have a rod that you can screw into a corresponding screw thread.
- Magnets with tapped shafts. The shank of these magnets is hollowed out and fitted with a screw thread.
- Magnetic studs with tapped hole or threaded shank. These magnets contain several neodymium magnets and have a non-slip resin coating. These magnets are more effective than raw magnets for screwing onto vertical surfaces (a wall, for example), because they are less affected by sliding forces.
The resin coating also protects the magnets in the event of impact.
- Fixing kits for magnetic locking systems. Our screw-on kits contain neodymium magnets and their steel counterparts, also bevelled, which will magnetise with the magnets. We also offer screw-on kits with anti-slip pads.
The choice of top-of-the-range neodymium magnets
As with all the other magnets we sell on magnetiques.fr, you will only find neodymium magnets in this screw-in magnet category. Neodymium magnets are made from an alloy of rare earths (Neodymium), iron and boron. This alloy currently offers the best possible magnetising power for the size of the magnet.
All our raw neodymium magnets are coated with a layer of Nickel and Copper to protect them from corrosion.
For each magnet, we indicate a pull-out magnetisation force and a sliding magnetisation force, which corresponds to the weight that a magnet can hold on a vertical support (a wall, for example).
Many other parameters can affect the magnetising power of a magnet, such as the presence of a steel shell, the quality of the ferrous substrate, or the sliding forces applied to vertical surfaces.
A protective steel shell for screw-in magnets
All magnets with threaded holes, threaded shafts, tapped shafts and certain bevelled magnets are housed in a steel shell. These thicker magnets are protected against impact.
The steel shell also concentrates the magnet's magnetic field in a single direction, which considerably increases the magnetising power.
Be careful to protect magnets
Neodymium magnets are powerful but fragile. Take care to avoid shocks so as not to break them, especially the bevelled magnets that don't have a steel shell.
We also recommend that you screw them in gently, without going too fast with the screwdriver.
